Unrest hits universities across Bangladesh

The ongoing teachers' movement over the new pay scale is disrupting academic activities at public educational institutions, especially at university and college levels.

Teachers yesterday staged fresh protests at several universities over the finance minister's remark on their movement, demanding that AMA Muhith withdraw his remark in 24 hours.

On Tuesday, they held demonstrations all over the country, protesting the "anomalies" in the new scale. Later in the day, speaking to journalists about the movement, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said,

                   জেএসসি-জেডিসি পরীক্ষা শুরু ১ নভেম্বর

জুনিয়র স্কুল সার্টিফিকেট (জেএসসি) ও জুনিয়র দাখিল সার্টিফিকেট (জেডিসি) পরীক্ষা শুরু হচ্ছে ১ নভেম্বর। সোমবার শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত এক বৈঠকে এ সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে।

তথ্য অধিদফতরের এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়।

সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, আগামী ১ নভেম্বর থেকে সারাদেশে একযোগে জেএসসি ও জেডিসি পরীক্ষা শুরু হবে। পরীক্ষা চলবে ১‌৮ নভেম্বর পর্যন্ত। জেএসসি ও জেডিসি পরীক্ষার সময়সূচি শিগগিরই প্রকাশ করা হবে বলেও উল্লেখ করা হয় বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে।

শিক্ষামন্ত্রী নুরুল ইসলাম নাহিদের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত ওই সভায় আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন, মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চমাধ্যমমিক শিক্ষা অধিদফতরের অধ্যাপক ফাহিমা খাতুন, অতিরিক্ত সচিব ড. অরুণা বিশ্বাস, রোকসানা মালেক, চৌধুরী মুফাদ আহমেদ প্রমুখ।

এইচএসসি সমমান পরীক্ষার ফলাফল ৯ আগস্ট ২০১৫

এইচএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষার ফলাফল আগামী ৯ আগস্ট প্রকাশ করা হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী নুরুল ইসলাম নাহিদ। ২৬ জুলাই ২০১৫ তারিখ রোববার সচিবালয়ে নিজ দপ্তরে তিনি গণমাধ্যমে বলেন, বিগত বছরগুলোতে ৬০ দিনের মধ্যে এসএসসি ও এইচএসসির ফল প্রকাশ করে আসছি। আগামী ১০ আগস্ট এইচএসসি পরীক্ষা শেষ হওয়ার ৬০ দিন পূর্ণ হবে। তার আগেই ৯ আগস্ট ফল প্রকাশ করব। গতরাতে প্রধানমন্ত্রী এ তারিখ দিয়েছেন।

উল্লেখ্য, এ বছরের এইচএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষায় আটটি সাধারণ শিক্ষা বোর্ড, মাদ্রাসা ও কারিগরি শিক্ষা বোর্ডের অধীনে এ পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয় ১০ লাখ ৭৩ হাজার ৮৮৪ জন পরীক্ষার্থী। এর মধ্যে ৮টি সাধারণ শিক্ষ বোর্ডের অধীনে এইচএসসিতে ৮ লাখ ৮৬ হাজার ৯৩৩ জন পরীক্ষার্থী অংশ নেয়। এর মধ্যে ছাত্র ৪ লাখ ৫১ হাজার ৬৪৫ এবং ছাত্রী ৪ লাখ ৩৫ হাজার ২৮৮ জন। আর মাদ্রাসা বোর্ডের অধীনে আলিমে ৮৪ হাজার ৩৬০ জন পরীক্ষার্থী। এর মধ্যে ছাত্র ৪৮ হাজার ২৮ এবং ছাত্রী ৩৬ হাজার ৩৩২ জন। এছাড়া কারিগরি বোর্ডের অধীনে অংশ নিচ্ছে ৯৮ হাজার ২৪৭ জন পরীক্ষার্থী। এর মধ্যে ছাত্র ৬৭ হাজার ৯৪৭ ও ছাত্রী ৩০ হাজার ৩শ’ জন। এর বাইরে ডিআইবিএসে (ডিপ্লোমা ইন বিজনেস স্টাডিজ) ৪ হাজার ৩৪৪ জন পরীক্ষার্থী অংশ নেয়। এর মধ্যে ছাত্র ৩ হাজার ৩৭৩ জন ও ছাত্রী ৯৭১ জন। এবারও অনলাইনে এবং মোবাইল ফোনে এসএমএস করে ফল পাওয়া যাবে।
